Deacon Kevin Leftwich, a devoted and steadfast member of Mars Hill Baptist Church, is being honored with his licensure as a minister today. Born in Newark, New Jersey, in 1955, Deacon Leftwich's journey has been marked by perseverance, dedication, and an unwavering faith in the Lord.

In 1967, he moved to Plainfield, where he attended both junior and high school. Upon completing his education, Deacon Leftwich enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1972, exemplifying his commitment to service and duty.

After his honorable service in the Marines, Deacon Leftwich experienced a period of transition, working various jobs until he found his calling as a tractor-trailer driver. For 25 years, he worked tirelessly, balancing his demanding career with the responsibilities of being a single parent. His resilience and hard work were a testament to his character and strength.

In 2012, Deacon Leftwich experienced a life-changing injury that led to his early retirement. It was during this challenging period that he turned his life over to the Lord, finding solace and purpose in his faith. In 2014, he returned to Mars Hill Baptist Church, the church founded by his grandfather, Rev. Sandy Jones, as a faithful and dedicated member. Since then he has faithfully held the church together until the Lord brought a new pastor to Mars Hill baptist church.

Today, as we celebrate Deacon Kevin Leftwich's licensure as a minister, we recognize his incredible journey of faith, service, and devotion. His story is an inspiration to all, demonstrating the transformative power of faith and the importance of steadfast commitment to God's calling.

Pastor Rick Greene Currently Holds A Doctorate Degree in Theology from Oval Bible College. He has completed degree studies from Oval Bible College and Eastern Theological Seminary. With diplomas from Evangelical Bible Institute, First Mt Zion Theological School, And Drew Theological Seminaries; he has focused studies in The Gospels, The Trinity, Angelology, Black Presence In The Bible, The Apocrypha, The Book Of Revelation, Teaching Adults, And Ministering to Couples. 

Pastor Rick’s Ministry Focus Is in Building Ministry Relationships, Couples Counseling, Teaching God’s Word, and As A Christian Media Company Founder... Spreading The Word Of God Through Technology.

Pastor Rick the founder of The Church at Newark, and the former Assistant Pastor Of Charity Baptist Church, The Founder Of Metro Christian Media & Ministries. And a former Rutgers University Medical Center, Columbus Hospital, And Newark Police Chaplain. He is also the former senior vice-president and CTO of Christian Vision Entertainment. And through his Metro Christian Media company has designed and maintained over 200 websites and with over 25 years experience in Photography, Video Production, and Graphic design he has produced over 30 different TV programs, directed, edited and filmed over 530 individual shows and events for Altice Cable, formerly Cablevision. 

Dr. Rick is a supervisor with Bayer Pharmaceuticals and is a Notary Public, Licensed Realtor with Living New Jersey Realty and is the founder of Rick Greene Realty, he has authored 14 books and is the Publisher Of “Transformation Newark Magazine”, Host Of The Radio Show “RELATIONSHIPS WITH PASTOR RICK”, And Is The Host Of The Popular TV Show “THE CHURCH AT NEWARK” which is broad cast to over 10 million homes a year for over a decade. From Which The LORD Has Birthed The Newark Minister’s Conference. 

Currently he is the president of the New Jersey Institute of Theology Online Seminary NJITOS.org where he has authored over 30 courses and the pastor of preaching and teaching of Prevailing Word Ministries,

Pastor Rick has three daughters and lives with his wife Minister Brenda Greene in Parsippany New Jersey.
